Citizen Opinion 6/16/2008 You all have the gull to bash our county deputies and police officers and tell lies about them but turn around expect them to take a bullet for you when the going gets tough. Well wake up Red River and Clarksville the ones that you bash and tell lies about our the ones who get paid less than you and protect you no questions asked. So I ask you what type of people are you? I really I'm starting to wonder. You say that these fine officers are selling drugs out of there patrol cars when you know damn good and well that is a lie. All your problem is that you yourself can't obey the laws of the land and try to make other people look bad while you show your ignorance of how stupid you really are. You have no facts, no evidence, no pictures, nothing to prove that what you say is true. You say that the sheriff's office and PD are sexual playhouses but you have no proof. Our officers and deputies put their lives on the line every time they go to a call. Every time they do a traffic stop. But yet here you are getting the hell beat out you and expect them to protect you from your attacker and then the next day calling them all liers and thieves and sex hounds. Talk about a double standard. Take a good look at yourselves and tell me what you see. Know what I see a bunch of babies that haven't grown up yet and didn't get their way so they are going to throw a fit and see if they can get their way. If this hits a nerve well to bad for the babies who can't and won't handle the truth of things. It's time for people to stand up for our officers and deputies instead of lying down. Holly Brady

June 8 2008 I am married to Red River County deputy Michael Kelley and i thought id inform the public just what kind of person he is. We have been married 18 years. I am disabled and he has decided recently to abandon his own mother and myself to shack up with a local felon, nothin new huh. Your beloved sheriff has no problem with this. My husband is a narcotics officer and on the tactical response team and the person he is seeing is Lucinda Sue Draper a convicted felon she has been handled at that department twice for methamphetamines and has been found an unfit mother. I am very angry with the lack of morals and ethics that department seems to hold. Ya'll have called the department a sexual playhouse, thought id let u know ur right. thanks for listening, Denise Kelley

Citizen Opinion 5/21/2008 I'm sure every citizen in the good county of Red River stands up for what they believe. I can't see much change in the past thirty years I've been back here. So, once again we're leaving this worthless county. Once upon a time you couldn't ask for a better place to live, but that was before the crooks and more crooks took over. I want to say I wish the best for Mr. Bridges, but what I can see it isn't going to be any better than it's been the last thirty years due to the fact they don't clean up the stinks. They are letting a fine lawyer/business owner and his wife be ruined because of all the crookedness in the county. I don't understand, but God does. I pray that Rhonda and Mark can beat this falseness they are accused of, but there again they are in RED RIVER COUNTY. If the good ole boys can't get you one way they will another. There is NO way Rhonda would be caught in such an act of ungodlessness, for her family is a well known up bringing family. She has the finest parents a child could ask for and I believe that they are being railroaded as most good abiding citizens do. Mark, maybe you need to teach the RRCty deputies some law. The good sheriff has one aboard that doesn't know his law books especially the penal codes. Especially where No Trespassing or a Fire plug is involved. Teach them the law Mark, I know you can!!!! God bless this poor county and it's dwellings. Gave up and moving, Margaret Wilcox

Citizen Opinion 5/20/2008 Dear Editor: As a life long citizen of this county, I would like to say this ordeal that involves Mark and Rhonda Lesher is about the most ridiculous thing I have heard of in a while. Based on news reports, I as other residents, feel these allegations are not factual by no means. Mark and Rhonda Lesher are about the finest people in this county. They have worked hard not only at their businesses, but have put in long hard hours trying to build up our city and county. Not to mention the monies that have been donated here and there. They have given their time, blood, sweat and tears to try to help our community. They have helped when no one else would. Mark is an attorney. His profession lets him sue people. Val Varley was in private practice before he was the County Attorney. Did he not ever represent anyone in a lawsuit? I can not imagine the humiliation that Mark, Rhonda and their families have gone through. Why people in this county spend so much time and energy crucifying people before the "facts" are presented is beyond me. What happened to "Innocent until Proven Guilty ?" Folks, if you have any compassion in your heart what so ever, you need to help Mark and Rhonda by being present in the courtroom on June 17, 2008 at 10:00 am. This is not about all the "ifs" and "buts" here in this county, this is not about the Avery Landfill, this is not about all the lawsuits Mark has filed. This is 2 peoples lives at stake. Not one person in this county has the right to point a finger at anyone else. Let me ask this question: If anyone of you readers are every accused of something, will you tuck you tail and hide, or will you fight for what you believe in? Sincerely, Patsy Guinn

Citizen Opinion 5/5/2008 My name is Jurline (Richardson) Edwards and I really don't have a problem letting you all know who I am. I can't believe the citizens of Clarksville are scared of change, of change for the better. My brothers are involved in the lawsuit, so, you know I take it personal. I took all the wrongdoings in Clarksville personal before it happened to them. Thank God I don't live in that town any more. Clarksville has always and will always be ran by Klan's. That's why they won't let anything come there. They make their own laws and rules. You have citizens who have that slave, master mentality. I refuse to be owned by anybody and so does my family. But, until the citizens of Clarksville stand up and speak out for themselves, nothing will change. This has been going on for years and will continue to go on until someone is brave enough to confront the prejudice and injustice face on. I don't justify or support wrongdoings but, I don't think all of my brothers should be punished for what one of them did. Kevin did this and if anybody should be punished, it should be him. But, even he should be treated fairly and punished not because of the color of his skin. I am so tired of hearing about all of the injustice in that city. It's as though it will never change. And, what baffles me the most is that when the citizens could have made a change by voting people into office that would be fair, they didn't. What's going on? You tell me. See, I went to school with the so called Sheriff of Clarksville (Terry Reed). Remember, the saying, they become police officers because they were bullied in school, prime example, Terry Reed. Terry Reed, you were a silent coward then and I see you haven't changed. Please, don't tell me I don't know anything about what goes on there, I lived there. Signed Brave One

May 4, 2008 To those people who have been sending citizen opinions, that I have not posted. I have decided that I will post citizen opinions, even though I am not being very active in doing anything with the website. From this date forward, if you send in a citizen opinion, you must be willing to publish your name. If you are not willing to publish your name, it will not be posted. People in this county need to understand that if you always remain anonymous, that the opinion carries no weight in the public forum. So, from this point forward if you send in an opinion follow the directions on the Citizen Opinion Posting page, and remember that I only post opinions of those who have the intestinal fortitude to sign their real name on the bottom for all to see. If this site continues, it will be because the people make it continue. They spoke out as the majority in the last election, and I believe that the majority has spoken to their wishes, and that this website is not a major part of those wishes. It will remain intact as a documented reminder of the past and continuing history of Red River County. It will also be here for those who wish to continue to speak out for informational and personal opinion purposes. If you want to read anonymous unfounded lies posted by mentally challenged fools read the topix forums. I myself choose to ignore what these insignificant anonymous cowards have to say. Good Luck to all, Ernest P.S. For those interested, I updated the site statistics.

APRIL 30, 2008 IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT SOMEONE IS USING MY NAME POSTING ON TOPIX. I DO NOT HIDE LIKE THIS COWARD OF A PERSON IS WHO IS USING MY NAME ON THE TOPIX WEBSITE, NOR DO I HAVE TOO. IF I HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY IT WILL BE POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE (RRPOLITICS.ORG) WHERE YOU WILL KNOW I POSTED IT. I DO NOT POST TO, NOR DO I MAKE A HABIT OF READING TOPIX, BECAUSE ANYTHING CAN BE POSTED ON TOPIX ABOUT ANYBODY WITHOUT ANY PROOF. ANYTHING THAT HAS BEEN POSTED ON TOPIX USING MY NAME WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ME. REMEMBER, ANY FOOL CAN POST ANYTHING USING ANYBODY'S NAME ON TOPIX WITHOUT ANY VERIFICATION BY ANYONE, AND IF YOU BELIEVE ANYTHING WRITTEN ON TOPIX, YOU ARE AS BIG A FOOL AS THE ONE WHO WROTE IT. JUST REMEMBER THAT THESE FOOLS ARE MENTALLY CHALLENGED.
I MOST DEFINITELY HAVE NO APOLOGIES TO ANY OF THE CRIMINALS WHO ARE IN, OR RUNNING THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN RED RIVER COUNTY. WINNING ELECTIONS DOES NOT AND WILL NOT MAKE CRIMINALS HONEST, NOR FOOLS SMART!!
ALSO, MY WIFE IS NOT DOING SO GOOD RIGHT NOW, AND I AM DOING MY BEST TO TAKE CARE OF HER. I WOULD APPRECIATE THE PRAYERS OF THOSE WHO DO CARE ABOUT OTHERS DURING THIS TIME.
ERNEST P.S. YOU CAN USUALLY TELL WHO WRITES SOMETHING BECAUSE IN THIS INSTANCE THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON YOU KNOW WHO IS TOTALLY CONSUMED WITH THE LANDFILL, WHO WRITES ABOUT IT AND MENTIONS IT ALL THE TIME, EVEN IN THINGS SUPPOSEDLY WRITTEN BY OTHERS. IT IS TERRIBLE WHEN THAT PERSON ONLY HAS ONE THING IN THEIR LIFE CONSUMING THEM, AND IT IS TOTALLY GARBAGE ALSO.

Federal Lawsuit Filed for Not Less Than $1,000,000.00 Against Defendants Commander Robert Bridges, Sheriff Terry Reed, and Red River County A Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit was filed yesterday March 24, 2008 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division naming Defendants Robert Bridges Commander of the newly formed Narcotics Special Response Team, and Sheriff Terry Reed. The lawsuit also names Red River County as a defendant in the suit. The suit alleges that Commander Robert Bridges, because of Sheriff Terry Reed's failure to properly train, counsel, and also due to his failure to properly discipline, and supervise did Unreasonably Search and Seize under the guise and color of the law using an improperly executed warrant that was insufficient for a Magistrate to find probably cause to allow it's execution. It also alleges that the two Plaintiff's Virgil and Mark Richardson innocent bystanders at the location and not named in the warrant were unlawfully restrained, detained and then arrested against their will, and were deprived under the United States Constitution of their lawful civil rights and liberties. Now, you may say there goes Mark Lesher suing the County again. Folks, all I am going to say to you is that all of you know what idiots we have running the Sheriff's Department, and Justice System in this county, so don't try to blame the lawyer for doing his job as an officer of the court, standing up for the Plaintiff's civil rights and liberties. This could be you they did this too! Blame it on the stupidity of Commander Robert Bridges, and Sheriff Terry Reed and the improper and criminally run Justice System of Red River County, which does not even have a competent Magistrate to read a search warrant and realize that there is not probable cause in it to allow her to sign to allow it's execution. Our taxes are outrageous now because of the stupidity of our elected officials who not only flaunt their criminal activities, but rub our noses in it by raising our taxes to pay for their incompetence and ignorance. Go ahead and vote yes for four more years of this same type justice. Our officials complain that we are the poorest county in the State of Texas, but they keep doing the same stupid acts, and we as the taxpayers pay for it, while they go merrily on their way. Vote Yes during the week of March 31st. and on election day April 8, 2008 to keep Terry Reed and the justice system the same. Vote Robert Bridges Sheriff of Red River County. Since I am always told to leave this County, I will tell you that I have the capability to leave this county and get away from the corruption. DO YOU???? P.S. Think about it.... Federal Civil Rights Violations Lawsuits are not something that are filed for political reasons under any circumstances. The U.S. Government and it's Federal Courts are not favorable forums to execute that sort of tactic, unlike the Courts and Justice System of Red River County. Don't let any idiot convince you otherwise!!!!

Judge Harville, I heard that you were asked why we just don't get rid of the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution in Red River County because they get in the way of our Law Enforcement and Justice System. I think that the Commissioners Court needs to just go ahead and repeal both of them just for Red River County. That is the way things have always been done here, "Right" Judge Harville?
