   Why Red River County
is so Corrupt!

Red River County is so corrupt because most of the supposed to be elected officials here have been "appointed" first rather than elected by the people.  The County Government maintains the corruption by these "appointed" officials resigning from office usually shortly before their terms expire, allows the Commissioners Court to "appoint" their successors rather than allowing the people their Constitutional Right to free and open elections.  These "appointees" who are hand picked by the clique, and then approved without thought by the Commissioners Court, gives the appointee the advantage of being the incumbent.  You say this advantage does not mean very much, but when the electronic voting machines come into the picture, I believe that it allows the corruption of election. It has been proven time and time again by the National News Media that these machines can be tampered with.  With the track record of the officials in Red River County being corrupt, nothing would surprise me any more!  This website has proved time and time again that our "appointed" officials allow corruption, and participate in it.  They make excuses for it! If this county is to be prosperous, we as citizens must stop this corruption.  We must stand together to rid the county government of corrupt officials, and see them prosecuted and put into prison where they belong.  As long as we have criminals, and we all know that we do; running our county government we will continue to be a poor county where there are no jobs, no hope, and no possibilities for the coming generations.  These corrupt officials have a strangle hold on our county and our people.  The County attorney Val Varley refuses to prosecute anyone who is participating in corruption within the county government and justice system.  Why is it that he and the other corrupt officials continue acts of conspiracy among themselves to keep the criminal element in our government in power?  I believe that it is because of money and power.  If they are not in power, they cannot continue to commit fraud, waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars, and abuse the people of this county.  Look at the last names (that repeat themselves) of those tangled in the committees and government entities.  They are the ones who are maintaining the corruption and stifling the progress of our County.
