Commissioner's Pothole Page

This Page is for all those little or (big) problems that you have complained about and for some reason your commissioner just never seems to get around to fixing them.  In other words, this is your last resort page.  You can submit your complaints using the Citizens Comment Posting Page.  Post Citizen Comment   If you wish to send a picture, attach it to an e-mail and send to rrpolitics@bowie-cass.com.

The Voters of this County wish to thank their elected officials in advance for taking care of their problems so efficiently, and quickly!

The less of these we have, the better our elected officials are doing their duty to the voters, and we appreciate it very much!

Commissioner Rufus Ward, Precinct 1

Readers we have a person that lives on CR. 1275 in Clarksville that says that all they want is the road fixed.  The person says that if you drive more than 5mi. per hour that you will end up in a ditch.  The person also states that the maintainer comes around once a month, but that the road is wash boarded again within a couple of days.  The person consulted with Mr. Ward once on the reasons that it costs so much to replace the cutter blades on a maintainer.  The person also states that is why they are all voting for Donnie Gentry because he couldn't be any worse than Rufus.

Rufus, I know that you do more than most Commissioners.  My road hasn't been graded in quite a while, much less once a month.  I would appreciate it if you would look into this matter and fix the road.  If you jump on this person and cuss them, and I find out about it, you will never live it down on this website...  understand?  Please fix the problem for this person.

Commissioner Barnett, and the Commissioners Court! The citizens on CR 2224 have had problems with road flooding for years.  These are  pictures of the road before the heavy rains of the evening of the 16th.  One of your voters who lives in your precinct on this road said the people who live on this road have been trying to get something done for a long time and all you and the commissioners court will do is give excuses.   This will not be a quick fix as it has to dry up and we understand that. What we don't understand is all the years of neglect on this road.  Grading it is not the answer.

Do your roads around your properties look like this Commissioner Barnett?  Do any of you Commissioners have Roads around your properties that are in this shape?  I know for a fact they do not.  You need to do whatever it takes to get this situation under control, and STOP giving EXCUSES and give RESULTS.  That is "IF" you like your job as commissioner of Precinct 2.

How would you like to have to travel this type of road to get to your home when it rains Commissioner Barnett?  I don't really think so!

Fix The Road, Please!  And again, these Pictures were taken before the heavy rains of the evening of the 16th!

Date of Request: 2/17/2008

Commissioner Barnett,  The voters would like to ask you nicely (first time) to please go out and fix the hole in this lady's mother's road, (Monday would be very nice). And, please fix it right like you do all the roads around your place.  I am sure you know where she lives since you have been asked so many times. I hope that this matter is cleared up so that the voters who support this site do not have to ask you the second time. Thanks so very much in advance for taking care of this matter!

Date of Request: 2/3/2008 Late Afternoon

Commissioner Barnett,  The voters would like to thank you for taking care of the problem so quickly and efficiently.

Date of Repair:  2/4/2008  Early Morning

It did after all only take you a year, and having your name posted on the internet less than 24 hours!
