I was extremely impressed with the forum held by the Zion Traveler Baptist Church.  They followed the Ethics Commission Publication for holding the forum to Meet the Candidates in this election, which is the proper way to hold a forum of this type.  They forum was very professional, and the leaders of the church should be commended by the Community for a job very well performed.

I am tired, and have decided that the forum speaks for itself, and am only going to make a few comments about it, and the purpose of this site since  three of the candidates brought up the fact that they thought this site was mudslinging.

I wish that the moderator had asked more questions.  This was the whole purpose of this forum, but I know that if he had asked some of the questions that he did not ask (that the people wanted answered) that it would have put some of the candidates on the spot to furnish the information the people were wanting.  Forums need to be held to inform the people, and answer their questions.  There was not enough time to answer very many questions after all the candidates gave their platform speeches.  It was very interesting though as you will hear from listening to the tape.  I am sure that many of you have already done so, and that more of you will now.  It is best listened to in mono format on a couple of cheap speakers hooked to a computer. 

One thing for sure, I know that I am doing a large part of what is necessary in informing you.  If I am missing something, please let me know, and I will try to correct it.  I hope that those of you who read this site feel that I am, and are getting the information that you wish.  I know that the site is considered biased, and it is to some extent because if there is nothing in a candidate's past it is not brought out on the site. The candidates who are talked about on the site, are shown how they operate because of their past actions documented through posted facts.  If you don't like what is here or what is not here, if any of you will get the documents that prove anything about any candidate's character, or actions, I will post it for everyone to look at.  I don't care who the candidate is, and whether they are a candidate that I have endorsed or not. Don't expect me to go out and dig very much on a candidate that I endorse, because I think that they are the most honest, and the best for the job, or I would not endorse them.   I will not however post any "statements of facts" that are unsigned by anyone that doesn't have the guts to state who they are and give me their telephone number so that I can talk to them directly to ask them about the statement.

This requirement is what the Nickerson and Turner camps are so upset about.  The Bridges camp can post anything that they can find about the other two candidates, as long as they show me the documented proof, and sign their names and put their telephone number on the statements.  That's all I ask!

What I can't stand is any candidate that will stand up after facts have been shown about their lack of character in any matter and say that they aren't going to sling any mud because the don't believe that they deserve the job if they sling a little mud.  The facts are that they can't find anything bad to show about their opponent, or they would have already slung the mud.  Their shoddy character proves that they will sling tons of mud if they could find any. 

I can't help it if you don't want to, or can't find anything that you are willing to put your name on to get it posted.  You cannot blame me or this site for the "Honesty" of particular candidates who have no bad documentation, or for your "Inability" as the supporters of the Candidates who dislike this website because you can find nothing to post about your opposition.

This is the purpose of this website is to dig.  I do some digging.  People who are out there reading do some digging.  The opposing parties camps dig.  Everyone knows that documentation is necessary to prove facts and that is what we use here. 

So get over it Turner, Nickerson, Bridges, Perkins, Varley and all the other's out there whose characters are proven to be more as less than credible because you have either committed acts of stupidity or acts of ineffective counsel, or overcharging the county for hours that you did not work in doing it, or getting elected to a position and trying to double or triple your salary using pressure on a commissioners court, or allowing racial profiling jokes and signs that promote the "Responsible use of Marijuana" to stay posted to your myspace, or the fact that you cover your sisters butt using your office as a commissioner, or that you get your wife off using a shenanigan to keep from paying a traffic ticket or any other of the stupid, immoral things like running around on your wife with another married woman, or making sexy panties, or being perverts, that any of you have been proven to do.

I am going to make a statement that really showed David Turner's true colors in this forum in my opinion.  He showed up at 6:30 instead of 5:30 to the forum.  Every candidate got the same invitation that I did to the meeting, and it was VERY CLEAR what time the forum started.  I would also like to ask David Turner why he had to have another male person drive him to the forum, and why did I notice that you were slurring your speech and looked like you had been sleeping in your suit?  I had a witness who saw you being driven up, and I heard you slurring your speech with my own two ears, so don't complain that I asked the question. SEE THE INVITATION THAT I GOT, AND ALL THE CANDIDATES GOT!  What were you doing directly before the meeting that you did not want to leave Mr. Turner?

I am going to tell Rufus Ward that he needs to clean up in his own backyard before he starts saying that this county is a good place to live and this site is bad because it proves that it isn't, and shows it to the world.  I don't want any one else to make the same mistake in moving here that I did until the corruption is cleaned up.  I feel that your sisters involvement with the "Overcharging by NET DATA" in providing this counties computer system is more than questionable since she does so much in covering it up.  Rufus, you also need to stop using the same canned things you always do. I agree you do a lot for the people of your precinct, but that third arm you have needs to be used for something more than patting yourself on the back. You are passionate about what you say, but you have cursed at me more times than you have preached.  That tells me a lot about you!

To those of the establishment in this county, and those that are not happy with this site.  It is here, and it is staying here as a source of "True and Factual Information" to the people of this County.  It is a needed source of information that no other publication located here is willing to do.  Also, if this site was not needed, we would not be here showing what we do, and it would not have tens of thousands or readers viewing it from all over the earth.  If you want the site to be a different format, then stop doing illegal activities and stop the corruption within your governmental areas, and when there is nothing more, the site will change to a more positive source of information to the people, but we will still provide the bad as well as the good.  At the same time, if everything is "covered up" at the sheriff's department, and the county government, and the information is not given or willing to be given as it is at the present, it is your faults that make this site what it is.  You governmental officials are so corrupt, and have so much to cover, that you cover up the good as well as the bad, because you are afraid that one tidbit of information whether good or bad will expose more of your actions than you want exposed.  That is your fault, and not the fault of this site, it's readers, or mine as the Webmaster.

Get a life and governmental office that is void of corruption, and moral turpitude and the exposure that you do not like will cease!

Diggin' up Bones

Isn't politics a strange enviroment?  It's funny, but in the last election Mark Perkins made the statement that they would do "Anything and Everything" to keep Royce Abbott from being elected, and they did.  Now in this election, they are screaming that we are slinging mud.  Isn't it funny that when they do it, it is OK, but when we do it is Mud Slinging. 

I don't know about all of you, but I will be glad when this election is said and done.  I am tired of the Presidential Race, which we still have till November before it is decided.  If the Sheriff's race had a Republican Candidate in it, I would be as frustrated as the opposition is in this race.

No matter how politics is done, it is a frustrating business.  No one knows this more than the candidates, who are probably as, if not more frustrated than all of us. 

The balloting starts tomorrow, and this whole election is going to boil down to "Who gets their voters out."  You are the most important ingredient in this whole big mess.  You are the whole reason for this frustrating process.  Tomorrow is the start of you doing your job, which is to "GET TO THE POLLS TO VOTE."  If you do not go out and vote in this election, everyone loses.  People say "I'm not going to vote because my vote doesn't count!"

My answer to that is your vote won't count unless you cast it. 

Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy.  Those of us who served or are serving in the military understand the cost to our country for the rights and your privilege to be able to cast you ballot in the democratic process.  Other countries citizens risk their lives voting, but in this country all you have to do is climb into your automobile, and drive to the polls.  You aren't risking anything except some expensive gas, and some valuable time, unlike those of us who are doing some campaigning to attempt to get one or the other candidate elected. Your vote "MEANS SOMETHING" in this election as well as all elections, because it is added into the sum to make a whole.  And, If you don't vote, you really have no right to complain about the outcome.

PLEASE GO AND VOTE!  EARLY VOTING STARTS TOMORROW, AND ELECTION DAY IS MARCH 4TH.  AND, AGAIN YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY VOTE COUNTS! IF YOUR CANDIDATE LOSES BY 1% AND YOU DID NOT GO VOTE, IT IS YOUR FAULT!

Meet the Candidates in

Avery, Texas

Get you a coke, and get comfortable, cause folks this is a long one!  Blame it on yourself because you asked me to give you the details, and I am going to do it to the best of my ability!

I would like to say straight off that I respect and admire the Volunteer Fireman and the First Responders of this county.  They responded to help when my wife fell out of her wheelchair, and hit her head on the floor.  At the time, I did not know that she had knocked herself out, because I had never seen a person knock themselves out before.  I literally thought that she was dying, because I did not see her fall.  I just saw what I thought was convulsions, her eyes were open and she was making gurgling noises.  Scared the literal "hell" out of me.  Anyway, if it had not been for the Avery First Responders getting here so fast, no telling what kind of shape I would have been in since the Ambulance had to respond from "New Boston".  Thank you so much First Responders for being "just around the corner" when we need you.  These brave men and women deserve our support and our thanks!  I know that I am thankful for you every time I have to call.  This is why I join the ambulance service every year because a portion of the membership is given to our dedicated local First Responders. And I do my best to support them when they have their donation fish fries and the like!

Now to the thick of things.....

Yes readers, I was at the Avery Meet the Candidates yesterday, and all of you are "dying" as I was told last night to know the details of what happened.  Well, there were a lot of sweets sold, and I loved the little ditty that was placed on the Anonymous posting page that really summed it all up; Cakes & Pies, Cakes & pies, Did you see "Fakes" telling sum lies?  Seems that "Everyone" wants to get a piece of the candidates to see just who and how much they are willing to spend to get into office.  It is a great fundraising tactic, but for some reason, it is reminiscent of the tactics used throughout our elective processes for the candidates to raise money.  It really makes me uncomfortable.  I know it raises a lot of money, and really more than they could get just putting a hat on the table, which is sad considering the dedication of our Fireman and First Responders. 

From talking with candidates in the past, I know that they "invest" a lot of money in sugar and flour running for office.... if they have it.  It made me uncomfortable because I could not afford to bid on anything at the prices sweets were selling for.  I can only imagine how some of the candidates felt that couldn't spend $100 on cookies, or $300 on a cake.  You could tell it was a lot of showoff on the Candidates part, because some would bid extravagant amounts and win an item, and then say "Just put it back and sell it again!"  Tell me that is not showing off for the crowd.  If you really wanted to make an honest and sincere donation, you would do it at the end when no one could hear, and just give that amount of money, rather than making all that hoopla bidding up the price, only to say "Sell it again!"  At least it is a good way to "fleece" the high rolling "Maggots" who are in office that like to flaunt some of their "ill gotten booty!"  I only hope that it does not "influence" anyone of the taxpayers on how they vote, as that is the scary part!

Let's see.  Oh, the big question on someone's mind was "Was our bestestest friend (mrs secretary) there?"  Nope, she didn't show her face.  I was truly surprised, because she always loves to get into the cesspool and rub elbows with the "Maggots".  You know I don't recall seeing the Mayor there either, but I was not really looking around the area where they had the rubber "cesspool" setup on the southwest side of the building, so I could have missed him!  Everyone saw all the pictures, so you know the players that showed up.  I did not take many of the crowd, because the sun would shine into the camera lens at that angle.

I will say that the Avery Volunteer Fire department puts on a good feed bag.  I did not partake of the "hot dogs" that they were passing out, but they smelled really good cooking and they had all the fixins to make one like you wanted.  I enjoy a good hot dog, but it seems that I always seem to forget that they feed people at these things, and I eat before I go.  My loss!!!  Well, three in the afternoon is usually the time I am beginning to get sleepy from lunch and lie down to take an afternoon nap if I am not involved in something more important.

I was really pleased that the Candidates did such a good job, and with such civility. (Well all except one, and I will crawl on him in a little while.)  I like some am not a "get up in front of a crowd" to speak type person.  I can talk to all of you from the written page, but its really tough looking out over a crowded room and listening to the silence and breathing of the crowd as you try to convey your thoughts.  That's one reason I probably won't ever be a politician, because I am not one of those that enjoys crowds especially in a location where you can feel the hostility of the political environment. 

Its funny how politics and the "truth" seem to be strange bedfellows in this country, and those candidates that are truly sincere about being "honest" and have the peoples best interest at heart seem to come up short at the Ballot Box!  (You know, like John Edwards.)

It just seems that people would rather be told lies from their candidates than the truth.  Is it just me, or do you notice it also?  Well, they always say "You know a politician is lying because his lips are moving!"  I hope that this time around that everyone really looks at their candidates, and can tell those that are "lying thought their teeth" by saying a lot of flowery promises, and statements that really make no sense when you sit down and think about them. 

How many of you would actually attend a "Citizens Police Academy"?  Would any of you want to go up to the Sheriff's department and participate with any of our law enforcement, and them carrying loaded weapons? I especially do not care, nor have the desire to ride with any of them on actual calls with them carrying loaded weapons.  One actual guarantee is that I would be deathly afraid of being exterminated by "friendly (or unfriendly) fire" if you get my drift. But, it Seems that is one of the top things that is being "touted" as a campaign platform item.  "A Citizens Police Academy."  Sounds like a flowery campaign promise that is as hollow as the experience of the person saying it!

Then you have those candidates who have no opposition in the election.  It is sad that people are so scared, complacent, or like me don't have the time, or the required credentials to run against some of these "Maggots" who are just going to walk right back into office, and keep doing it over and over again.  I almost got sick to my stomach when one of them nearly came to tears.  Everyone attending knows who it was and what the reason was.  I wouldn't normally do or say anything at a time like this, but I had just talked with a real person recently who has handled battered women in this county.  This person told me most truthfully, with tears in their eyes, how women would go into the Sheriff's department for help after they had the shit beat out of them by their husbands, and would be told "Well I can help you if you will grace me with a favor or two!"  This person said that this happened with every woman they talked to that asked for help from the Sheriff's department.  I am having an extremely difficult time to keep from puking, much less even trying to imaging the depths of depravity that a "thing" such as this working for the taxpaying citizens of this county could stoop so low as to proposition a battered woman begging for help! Tears indeed!  My thoughts on the subject is good riddance!

Then you have the candidate who complained about the "mudslinging".  It's always amazing to me that anyone who has a credit card debt of over $2000., would have to be sued to pay it off would consider the truth being told about it to be mudslinging. And, why would anyone vote for the same person who was found to be a "Bad Lawyer" not only by a hearing judge but by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. A lawyer who was proven to exorbitantly overcharge the county for indigent appointments, much less not representing his client to the best (well maybe it was the best) of his abilities.  And this is a Candidate that we have running for our 6th District Judge?  God help us all! 

Everyone who is a citizen of the United States is "Guaranteed" under the constitution that they will receive equal justice under the law.  It's too bad that the framers did not realize that sooner or later without a king to take all the money, that there would be people who could "purchase" justice to go their way, and those that had no money would be "put in jail to rot".  I don't call that equal justice, but I am told that our system is "The best in the World!"  I know of cases where divorce has sent men to jail for molesting their children just on the wife's prompting of the child to say it happened when it didn't. And, I also know of cases where it is going on, is a proven fact that molestation is and has occurred, and still occurring yet the system lets the perpetrator go free because of "who the person knows, and can gain influence over the judge" 

Then we have a candidate that is only interested in the power and money, and he is a slick nice looking politician who talks like a professional, and can interject jokes that make the crowd sit up and take notice.  But it is a documented fact that he was only a County Judge for about 8 months and quit because he could not wield the power of his office to gain a salary increase, and start a committee that would usurp the powers of the Commissioners Court!  It is a known fact that he can wield his power with anger, and delve into the muddy depths without thinking first, and is difficult to work with. (Sounds a little like Judge Lovett doesn't it?) We don't need this candidate sitting in judgment over us either, but it could happen if you don't do your homework and study the candidates carefully before you darken the square in front of a name!

If our system of Justice is the best in the world we are in a terrible pickle, and god help us all if we elect the wrong candidate!

Last but not by any means the least, we have our fine County Attorney Val Varley who stood up in front of the crowd and made the statement that we have a lot of fine citizens in this county, and then we have those that operate and write on the internet who are "Nuts"!  You can bet Valerie, that if any of us in this county are "Nuts" it is most definitely you.  You would not have even made the statement if so many people had not given you a hard time that read it, much less the whispers that you have have to endure.  My only regret is your wife having to endure your philandering.  You will notice that the only agreement you got on your statement came from around the southwest area of the building where all your "Maggot" buddies were congregated around the rubber cesspool.  That ought to tell you something Valerie, and something else you should realize is 11,513 people read the site last month, and a lot of them see the truth, and the documentation here.  Instead of them being asleep at the controls now, it is you! 

I also did not fail to notice how you (Valerie) ran out and tried to bury your head up David Turner when ya'll were leaving.  I know that you are campaigning for him to get into office so he can tell you how to "woodshed your witnesses" when they aren't saying what you need on the witness stand to get a conviction.  Him being "proven a bad overcharging attorney" will help you even more in his ignorance and non caring attitude of the law! What attorney when asked the question about his "Ineffective Council" would say they didn't agree with the hearing judge, and the Texas  Court of Criminal Appeals, and would do it all the same way all over again!!! If people here would just think about the fact that you are so heavily campaigning for Turner in the shadows they would probably not vote for him any more than they would Nickerson who I am told is not your first, but second choice. 

I am not blind to the facts of choosing a District Judge like most people. I became aware of how important the choosing a District Judge really is because of Donna being a Lawyer.  You don't realize as an everyday citizen who doesn't break the law, how important those "Elected District Judge Positions" are until you know someone who has to practice in front of them.  And take my word for it, you don't always want to ask "Who" to vote for as Judge either from your "local law enforcement" or "attorneys", because some of them like yourself (Valerie) have an important  interest in who will do their bidding for them.

If you got to the end of this article, you damn sure had better go vote, cause voting will take you a lot less time, and believe me in this election every vote is going to count!

"Rail Road County"

In all it's Glory!

I had a story about a hardworking black lady told to me the other day, and I thought that I would relay it to all of you.  If this is not Rail Road County in all its Glory, I don't know what it is!!!

About a year ago there was a "black" lady that was hired to clean the annex. (This is the Red Brick Building where the County Auditors office, the Tax Office, the Treasurers Office, and the County Clerks Office is located.)

It was only a part time position, and she has been with the county for about a year.  She was a paid employee, and not part of a "work program". 

There is also a man that works through some "work program" that pays him.  He job is to clean the Big Courthouse.  He is said to be a lazy good for nothing type.  I am told that every time you go by the Courthouse, he is outside taking a break, and I'm told you can ask anyone about that. 

The black lady's name is Lilly.  She was a very hard worker and did not mind doing anything.  She was constantly working when she was on the clock, and only got about 20 hours a week.  She asked several times for more hours, and even told the county judge that she would work at the Courthouse if asked, and was needed.  Well, when Judge Harville came into town Lilly talked to him about more hours and he told her that it wasn't in the budget, but when budget time came around he'd see what he could do.   Budget time came and went, and Lilly got 1 more hour a day (5 hours a week). Then the County started holding retirement out of her paycheck, so it defeated the purpose and took her extra money.  The guy that works at the courthouse (and does nothing) decided he needed some help.  So the deal became that Lilly would work at the Annex from 8-12 and then go to the Big Courthouse and work the other hour.   

Last week there was big trial scheduled, and he, (the guy who does nothing) sent word to Lilly to come straight to the courthouse to clean the bathrooms, jury room etc.  She went to the Annex and worked hard all morning while the guy who does nothing is outside smoking and having his 30 minute breaks.  She went to the courthouse after she got through and cleaned it.  Well, when Lilly got through cleaning the courthouse he goes and tells Ruby that "they" got it all cleaned.  This made Lilly mad, and she told Ruby she quit. 

I don't blame Lilly for getting mad after all, because she did all the work and he took the credit for it.  Naturally he is "white" and she is "black", and whose gonna believe her.  Anyway, I hear that everyone at the annex was just floored because Lilly quit.  No more than Lilly had gotten out of the courthouse, Ruby was on the phone and HIRED SOME OLD DRUNK  to come in and clean.  Naturally he is "white". 

From what I was told, Ruby didn't even discuss this with the judge or anything.  The job wasn't even posted.   

I am told that Lilly was the best thing that the county had seen as far as a cleaning lady in a long, long time.  It will really piss you off cause no one tried to talk to her about the situation, after all, she is "black".  It was like OK if that's what you want, your "black".  The County should have at least waited a day or two, don't you think, and tried to talk to Lilly? 

If you had been Lilly, living in Rail Road County, what choices would you have?  Do you think that anyone would listen to you inside the County Government?

I understand that she was not one to cause trouble, and she came to work, did her job, and did it very well.  But, I guess cause her skin was black it didn't matter, let us keep the "white" guy that does nothing cause we don't have to pay him, and, we'll hire another "white" man who drinks to take Lilly's place. 

By the way how may "BLACK" employees does the county have?  Does anyone know?

This article was sent to me by another political activist in my circle.  You can read the article now, and I posted it now because I thought that it is very important that all of you know the facts about the Nickerson Campaign as soon as possible.  There is no documentation attached right now (as there usually is, and you know that I am a stickler for documentation about everything) but the documentation is forthcoming, and will be attached. You will be notified of its attachment in the usual manner on the anonymous posting section.  So please read the article and know that the "all documentation proves" everything that is stated, and you will see the documentation for yourselves as soon as it is received. 

This is one of the problems of a world that is stored on paper, and then has to be electronically transferred to cyberspace.  It takes time to transfer.  But as always in the past what is being said here will be proved with "all documentation" as soon as it is brought into the electronic media.  Thanks for your trust, and support.

I have been following the political races with great interest and have been especially fascinated with the information you have provided regarding the candidates on this site--information I might add, that is unavailable in any of the more traditional media outlets. I have also taken the time to research and verify the allegations and records of all the candidates for sheriff and for 6th District Judge and found the facts to be accurate and totally supportable just as you have presented them.

There is, however, one missing piece of data that I think I can provide. You mentioned in a post last week that you had very little personal knowledge about candidate Jess Nickerson. I think I can help. 

Candidate Nickerson has made his "judicial experience" the centerpiece of his campaign. I have heard him twice in public forums proclaim that what distinguishes and qualifies him above all others is the fact that he is the only one who has ever been a judge. That piqued my interest and so I researched his tenure as County Judge of Camp County and found out the following:

1) He was elected with a very small number of votes in 1974.

2) He took office in January of 1975 and 'volunteered' to ‘make’ the budget. 

3) He immediately recommended that a secretary be hired for him--due to his     tremendous workload--and a new position was created.

4)  In the first month of office he recommended the creation of a "Salary Grievance Committee", comprised of 9 people. This committee would have the authority to mandate salary increases for county employees without the consent of the Commissioner's Court--a device which he subsequently tried to use to bypass the Court's authority to make budgetary decisions. 

5) Also in the first month, he recommended that all county employees become "salaried”. 

6)  He immediately entered into an adversarial relationship with the Commissioners regarding budget--specifically related to salaries--with special emphasis on HIS salary and in the second month of office tried to stop the county from being able to pay bills and operational costs until they adopted his recommended budget--a strong-arm tactic designed to bully the court into doing things the way he wanted them done. 7)  After months of arguing and stubbornly refusing to compromise, Mr. Nickerson submitted his resignation in August of 1975--just 8 months after making a commitment to the citizens of Camp County. I have a copy of his letter of resignation and all of the aforementioned information is available to the public through the Camp County Courthouse Commissioners' Court minutes for the calendar year 1975.     

In the letter Mr. Nickerson stated that the reason he was terminating his relationship was because of his inability to get the salary he proposed and believed he was worth (even though he knew what the position paid when he ran for office and accepted the terms of the agreement only 8 months earlier.) The salary he proposed for himself and attempted to force the Commissioners to accept was TWICE the salary he agreed to work for.  In other words, it was all about the money.  So much for public service.

The reason I am sharing this information is that Mr. Nickerson in a public forum just this week was asked about why he submitted his resignation only 8 months into a position that he committed to for 4 years, he replied that he quit " to run for Congress." 

While it is true that he later became an unsuccessful candidate for congress, no where is that mentioned as a factor in his resignation letter-nor were any of the Commissioners or other people who worked in the courthouse at that time aware of his intention to seek another office.  But they were all very aware of his concerted efforts to get his salary increased and his anger over his inability to manipulate or strong-arm the Court into seeing things his way.  The consensus of the people who remembered his tenure was that he was arrogant, impatient, often unreasonable and very difficult to work with--in short not traits to recommend him for a district court judgeship. After having deep roots in Camp County, family connections--a father who was County Attorney, he abandoned the position he committed himself to and summarily moved to Paris, Texas where it is alleged he thought he could make more money practicing with George Preston.  I also spoke with several people who have had business dealings with Mr. Nickerson in recent years--one client from last year--who says that he still operates in the same high-handed, over-bearing manner and is still difficult to work with. Mr. Nickerson never practiced law prior to assuming his position with Camp County, he never summoned a jury panel and he has broken out and enumerated individually, all the duties of a county judge in his marketing materials for this campaign to expand and amplify his 'judicial' experience. This information is all a matter of public record.

David Turner Sued Over

 Credit Card Debt!

On 1-15-2008 a court action was filed in the Justice of the Peace court in Lamar County against David C. Turner Jr. and Susan Turner of Paris for failure to pay a Credit Card Debt in the amount of $2,348.21 (a credit card debt) by Erin Capital Management as an assignee of City Bank.  The Case Number was C1-1327.  I called the J.P's office today, and they told me that the case had been dismissed.  Guess Mr. Turner decided to pay the debt rather than have it go as a judgment against him. 

Is this the type of District Judge that we want running our court system.  One that has to be sued to get him to pay off his credit card debt.  No one "forgets" to pay a debt in that amount except "conveniently".   That shows a lack of character that we do not need in a District Judge!!!

 Lighted Abbott Sign Re-Lighted!

The Lighted Campaign Sign for Royce Abbott was re-built and re-lighted last night.  It just goes to show that vandals are not going to affect the race for Sheriff in Red River County!

It took nearly all day according to the owners, but the sign is back up and shining brightly.  They say that they are getting better at building it with experience.  The sign is as good as new, and even better!

The sign can be viewed coming from Detroit east towards Clarksville on highway 82.  It is about two miles out of Detroit on a hill.

Robert Bridges Removes Posting

It is of no real concern, but I was called and told that Robert Bridges My Space site had been deactivated.  I immediately checked it, and it is still there.  Don't know why the person could not get to it other than it being very difficult to find, unless you know what you are looking for, as the link on this site works!  I am not that familiar with my space, and only have a bare bones-no page account just for looking at people's accounts that tell me to take a look.

Anyway, I checked to see if his account was inactive, and also checked his front page.  After all the voters talking about the offensive posts on the front page, checking his page now against the captured pages, I found that he had removed 1 post from his page.  Here is the post.

I looked at this post on the captured page, and it was from a black gentleman.  I guess that preference to "racial profile", and "enjoy responsibly" post are less likely to be removed than "ugly little puppy dogs".  Strange HuH?

Lighted Abbott Sign Destroyed by Vandals!

You know that it is bad folks when someone destroys a campaign sign.  This sign has been up for quite a while now, and there have been hundreds of comments on it.  It was a lighted sign and you could see it coming from Detroit, Texas, about 2 miles east going toward Clarksville.  If you were ever out that way at night, you probably noticed it.  Here's a couple of pictures of the sign lit up.

This sign was a beacon in the night to those who saw it, and everyone commented on how great it was.  Anyway, yesterday even with all the wind, the sign kept standing with no problems.  It had been braced just for that kind of natural effect, but nothing could withstand the acts of Vandals.  After dark last night, and the wind had died down, the couple who built and owned the sign heard their dogs barking.  They could hear people out around the sign, but would not go out for fear of being hurt themselves.  (It is a sad day when you have to be afraid on your own property!)  This morning when they got up, and went to check on the sign, there were tire tracks where someone had pulled up to the location in their car, and the two pictures below will show you what they found!

The sign was completely legal, and even had the highway right of way disclaimers on it even though it was well inside the property line, and nowhere near the highway.  It is a Sad day when people have no regard for others property.  The Red River County Sheriff's department was called, but as usual they were of no help, except for taking a couple of pics of their own (probably to show off).  Indication was made by the sign owner that they were in their usual rude mood, and since this is the sheriff's race, and the sign was for an opponent of the "Clique", there will probably be absolutely nothing done as usual.

People, you need to think about this when you go to the polls to vote!  If this kind of thing is done to someone's property because they are supporting the "wrong candidate" as far as the "Clique" is concerned, just what kind of "Just-Us" can we expect if one of their own is again elected.   VOTE MARCH 4 FOR A POSITIVE HONEST CHANGE IN RED RIVER COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT!

Does "The Man with the Gold Rule"

I was told yesterday that "Mr. Abbott" does not have a chance of winning the Sheriff's Race because "The Man with The Gold Rules."  This got me to thinking about our society, and whether this statement is correct.  I have come to the conclusion that this statement does not have to be true when it comes to our government, and our elected officials.  It is not true, because our founding fathers gave us the right to individually cast our vote for our elected leaders. 

Our Vote is the single most powerful element in the democratic society.  The only reason that the above statement could become true is if we do not "Cast our Vote".  Just because a candidate has spent $5,000.oo on signs does not literally mean that we have to vote for him.  We each individually have the ability to look at the candidates background, his character, and also look to see whether "The Man with the Gold" is backing the candidate or not.  If we look and see that there are questions that the candidate will not answer about his background, there is no real total experience in the candidates past that makes him eligible for the position and "The Man with the Gold" is backing the candidate with his gold, then we simply do not vote for the candidate.  Very Simple solution when it gets right down to it. 

If the candidate has hollow non-documented claims of experience for the job that he will not produce, and there are questions of moral turpitude about his past that he will not answer that directly affect the position he is seeking such as drugs, alcohol, or philandering, and "The Man with the Gold" is backing him with everything he's got,  simply "DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM" 

Which candidates have lots of write ups and flashy advertising in the Clarksville Times?  Do you know how much "Gold" it takes to make this happen.  You either have to pay for the publicity out of your pocket, or the man who owns the newspaper has to give it to you.  Either way, if there are plentiful write ups, and slick colorful campaign advertising, there is a great amount of "Gold" involved from someone!!!!

That is why everyone's vote counts.  Some will vote for the candidate because they are part of the problem.  "Honest Voters" will vote against the candidate because they are wanting a solution to the problems, and to see a government of "Honesty", "Integrity", "Stability", and "Judicial Equality".

Do You Want "The Man with the Gold's Candidate Elected?"

If you do not, then you must go to the polls and make your voice heard by "Casting your Ballot!!!" When you go to the polls to vote whether during early voting or on the day of election (March 4, 2008) remember that less than 35 votes decided last the election.  Is your vote going to be one of those government changing votes in this election?  It is a certainty, and a definite fact that your vote will be one of those.  But, to be one of them, you must go and "Vote!"

The Paris Branch of the NAACP will host a candidate forum on January 31, 2008 at the Lamar County Fairgrounds, Exhibit Building.  The event will begin at 6:00 p.m.  All local candidates in the March 4, 2008 primary have been invited to participate.  The forum will be moderated by Rev. Isn't it funny.  Mrs. Lynn Stephenson is trying to get a letter writing campaign together to shut this site down.  Well, Lynn, I hate to tell you but this is a privately owned site, and there is a little thing called the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States standing in your way.  You would think that Mrs. Stephenson would be in favor of the right to free speech, but it seems that even though she spews her undocumented lies, she believes that this site with all it's documentation is "Really hurting the county and it's residents."  Well Lynn maybe I need to do some open record requests on the expenditures at the City of Avery.  Don't think I can't. 

I own this site, Mrs. Stephenson, and none of the above people named in your e-mail tell me what or what not to do with the site. None of them are affiliated or own any portion of it.  I fund this site myself. 

That is not how you do things Mrs. Stephenson, writing your letters to the editor of the Clarksville Times on the time of the taxpayers of the City of Avery.  The taxpayers of the City of Avery even fund your little "Avery News"  that you put out.  It seems to me that if anyone should be shut down, that it is you because you are not putting a penny into your endeavors.  When it gets right down to it, I would bet that the Tax Payers of the City of Avery are funding everything you do including the time that that it takes you to do it. I  bet that you aren't spending any of your own money.  I do know that a long time ago when I worked on your personal home computer, that the Citizens of Avery paid to have it repaired because you and the Mayor wrote me a check off the City account.  Remember that, Mrs. Stephenson? 

How about it Taxpayers, do you think that she should spend your tax dollars putting out a newspaper called The Avery News at the city's expense spewing her political views.  Seems that she uses city time, city computers, city printers, city paper, and the City's name.  The Mayor and her even pay for her personal computer repairs out of city funds. What else are the Mayor and her highness paying for at your expense? I have been told that she mails out things with the water bills sometimes.  That is using your postage and tax dollars to promote and pay for her personal political endeavors.  Don't any of you care about what she is doing, or has she got all of you thinking that what she is doing is legal. You all do realize that "Maggots" fund their operations with your tax money, so they don't have to spend their own?  That is another trait of a "MAGGOT"!

Think about all Your Tax Money she's spending on her personal political agenda!!

Maybe Mrs. Stephenson should prove by documentation everything that she has stated in the e-mail above.  OH.....  you can't can you.  It is more of your MAGGOT lies and propaganda.

First, I am not employed by Mark Lesher.  I do contract computer work for him. Ask anyone, I will do computer work for just about anyone that wants to pay because I own a computer business, DUH! Well, except the "City of Avery".  She called and asked me to work on theirs, but I refused. I did one time long ago, but quit because I couldn't stand the cesspool!  I also don't like "LIARS, or MORONS" and I especially don't like "MAGGOTS" and there's a couple of the two mentioned above that stay in the Avery City Hall.  You decide which one is which!  So Lynn Stephenson is a bald faced liar when it comes to that statement!

Two, She is right when she says that I am supporting Royce Abbott for Sheriff, because that is easily seen by my comments on this website. I support a change in the injustice in this County, but as all of you can see  Lynn is for the injustice, and the "Maggots".  She is even against the First Amendment to the Constitution which is "Freedom of Speech", except when it comes to her.  "The first trait of a "MAGGOT"! 

As far as the candidates she speaks of... They just happened to think that answering the questions put to them by the citizens who want to be informed about their positions on the issues is a good idea.   You should realize that over 7,000 readers a month would get anyone's attention; it did theirs.  Well, I guess she included the candidates in her bald faced lies, because they accepted the offer to participate in a candidates forum. 

If you will notice, the ad space on the Main page is offered free of charge to any candidate, and David Hamilton just happened to take the offer, and that is all there is to it.  So where is your documentation proving what you said in the e-mail above Mrs. Stephenson. So, you are again a bald-faced liar.

Avery City Secretary Lynn Stephenson thinks that she should be in control of everything, when she should really be wearing a straight jacket because she is a real control freak.  Is it true Lynn that you own husband is afraid of you?  I agree with one of my readers that you would be more productive of your time chasing cars on the streets of Avery!

I neither support or oppose the landfill, but I do believe in a person's right to do what they want with their own property. If anyone deserves to have a landfill next door it is Lynn Stephenson. She spews enough lies and garbage to warrant having her own personal landfill. 

What's bad about it is some people actually believe what she is saying politically.  They say, "There is a Sucker born every minute!"  Guess they don't realize that she is a "MAGGOT"

If I were the taxpayers of the City of Avery, I would be looking at how much time and taxpayer money that is spent by Mrs. Stephenson in publishing her political views.  She needs to realize that this website is totally funded by myself, and I spend my own money and time.  That is a hell of a lot more than she can say, because she is spending the Taxpayers time and money funding her little operations, but none of you seem to care, so you must agree totally with her if you live in the City of Avery!  My expense is covered by me, and protected by the first amendment while hers is covered by whom......?

Isn't it time to take account of what Lynn Stephenson is up to?

Do you really agree with everything she is spending your money on?

Surely that is not a correct statement, do all of the residents of the City of Avery want their tax dollars spent in this fashion?  Maybe you should call and let your city councilmen know that you don't.  She is a salaried employee, not an elected official, and you as a taxpayer do have a voice about the endeavors of your city secretary.  You do after all pay her salary.....  don't you!!!!  And you do vote in elections for your city councilmen and the mayor don't you .  I believe that gives you a right to voice your opinion to them, and they should listen..  or does it work that way in the City of Avery?  Government telling you who and who not to vote for, and spending your tax dollars doing it sounds a little like communism, or nazi-ism doesn't it?

And, one last thing,  I don't know where she got this "Deputy" stuff.  I have enough to do taking care of my disabled wife, my computer business and this website.  If anyone out there takes care of a  totally disabled person, they know that alone is a full time job, not including the other two. Hell, Lynn would probably stick her loved one in a nursing home to rot! I will tell all of you that I have never been in law enforcement, and am not sure I would want to be even if I had the time, but I am flattered she would say that, because it is after all a noble service to the people.....  if it is allowed to be done right using the peoples rights under the constitution! 

Remember folks, she was all in favor of "Sheriff gReed" and "Spankie", and probably loves Valerie Varley, and Perkins (although I hope even Valerie has some taste Perkins....I'm not so sure about, especially if she would model his panties for him). You need to take a good long look at what you got with all of them, and you know how she supported them in the last election.  She and the Mayor paid your tax dollars to repair her personal home computer.  Just who are the bad guys here?  Who are the "Maggots"  Now, do you think Lynn Stephenson is really such a good person to be telling anyone what to do about anything, especially yourself and your vote? My god if you do, you must be extremely desperate, or gullible!

How much of Avery's Tax Dollars is she Flushing Promoting her personal Politics and Agenda's, and you are paying her a Salary and Personal Computer Repairs on top of the expenses to do it?

I just received a telephone call from Lynn's husband.  He somehow got the idea that I wanted to talk to him, because that is about all that he could say is "Do you want to talk to me? Do you want to talk to me?" over and over.  At first I thought that it was someone that had been referred to me with a problem, but I finally realized what he was saying, and who he was.  What he finally said to me was that I did not want to talk to him face to face.  I don't recall wanting to talk to him at all because I would have called him if I did.  He didn't want me to talk to him, because he would not shut up long enough to carry on a conversation.

What everyone needs to realize is that I don't like corruption,  I do not act like I am 10 years old, and I do not go around threatening people. 

What I do is hire an attorney, and let him beat you up in a court of law.

Lynn Stephenson started this sir, and she needs to back off, because there is nothing you or anyone else can do with threats or intimidation to keep me from finishing it if she does not shut up, and back off on everything,  and I do mean everything  (you can fight your battle over the landfill, I don't care about that)............ but the lies and garbage about everything else had better get silent, and I mean NOW!!!!! and it better STAY that way from now on!   If you don't want it, and can't take it, then stop dishing it out. Cause I can dish it out just like your can, only it seems that I do it a little better, and I still have a lot more to go. Just how far do you want it to go?

Progressive Thinking?

I have read one thing here of late that talked about me telling people they were not progressive thinkers, and that they were stuck in the mud, when it came to progress in this county.  I decided that I would talk a little about Progressive Thinking.  When those two words are spoken together, what do you think of?  Well, I think of someone who is thinking about the future, or a forward thinking person.  I also think about someone who wants progress, and prosperity which usually go hand in hand.  A Progressive thinking person is someone who sees things that are a problem, and is causing Progress to be hampered.  They then use their minds to think about what can be done to alleviate the problem, and allow progression of the situation toward the prosperity of the future.

This county is stifled.  You can see it in the statistics of the loss of population over the last 30 years.  This in turn causes a loss of tax base, because after all land or property does not pay taxes, people do!  If you do not have people, and the taxes are not justly equal, then you have some people paying little or no taxes while others are sweating under their tax burdens.  Because of this type of treatment, people leave the county, (and those with the money and control purchase the land, paying fewer taxes) and move elsewhere which is a "Catch 22".  That is what is happening here in Red River County.

Right now we have a "few" people who own tons of land, and pay paltry taxes compared to the rest of us.  A good example is the person funding one of the candidates in the sheriff's race right now.  I would bet that on a per acre basis, this person is paying very little taxes compared to the little people who own property here.  Why is that?  It is because we have people out there that don't want "progress", and every time something comes along that is "progress" they jump on the mule and try to beat it back with their stick.  Why don't they want progress?  Who really knows, other than they like to keep things the way they are, which is non-progress, and unjust taxation of the people.  "The Rich get Richer, and the Poor get Poorer." 

There are very few jobs created in this county.  "Wal*Mart" left, and created a big hole in the sales tax base, and the City of Clarksville had to cut back on services to the people.  No one liked that, but it happened.  People blame Wal*Mart for leaving, but I believe they left because they had problems in this County that were not being corrected, and even with their big corporate image were unable to correct them and make money at the same time. What business would want to remain in a situation like that.  Business is there to make money, not just service the community.  People loved Wal*Mart when they were donating big checks to the county, and charities, but they have to be able to make money to do that! So, I don't blame them for leaving knowing what I know about the situation.

Anyway, progressive thinking is what it is going to take to get this county moving forward again, and people willing to listen and try new things.  As long as we stand by and say "don't change" this or that, and do nothing there will be no progress.  As long as people who know absolutely nothing about economics and progress are listened to by the people, nothing will change.  As long as some people stand up and tell people who have ideas to help, the County Progress and those people tell the progressive thinkers that they need to "MOVE OUT OF THE COUNTY" rather than people being open to progressive thinking, Red River County will always be stuck in the mud, in the same old rut. So you must decide to listen and try to change, or be the same, or worse than now years down the road.

Wouldn't it be better with Jobs, and Prosperity for all, than having a few in control, taking in all the money?  The decision is yours, when you go and vote.  Either vote for a real "change" to progressive thinking that will make this county better or the "hollow change" that will evaporate right after the election, and keep it the same or worse.  Which do you want?

How can there ever be progressive thinking and prosperity, when people here tell those progressive thinkers that they need to "Move out of the County"?  Anyone who tells "anyone" that they need to "Move Out of the County"  needs to have that stick up their butt pulled out of the MUD!

Veiled Threats

I thought that all of you out there that read this site might like to know what it is like to be threatened by the people you are writing about.  Late this afternoon my telephone rang and as usual I picked it up.  I totally recognized the voice on the other end of the line, because as they forget I was the Crime Stoppers Coordinator for about 6 months, and talked with law enforcement regularly.  This voice was someone who during my time as the Computer Person for the City, and County, worked for the city.  The person doesn't work there anymore, but is employed with the county now. 

I just wanted to tell all of you that it was not a threat on my life, but I was told that they had some plans for me. 

I would like to tell them that if they "Really" had plans, that they would not be so stupid as to call and tell me about them.  Do they really think that anyone that reads this website could not figure out at least what "Department" that this "Veiled Threat" probably came from......  DUH, lets see.  Who has been the target on this site for the last year.......Hummm  The Commissioners Court?  No, they were written about when they looked the other way as Sheriff Reed, and Chief Deputy Larry Spangler were exposed as "Criminals", but they haven't really been written about that much.  Welll.... how about the County Annex?  No,  They have already had theirs through the Star, and even though those old scars probably give them a little pain on cold days like today, they more than likely aren't going to block their caller identification and then call lil ole me to make a "Veiled Threat"  Letsss seee....  Just who could it be?  Damn, I bet I know who it is!  It's the Sheriff's department, or Valerie's Office.  Those are the only two Departments that the website has really been onto in the past year, and with the Sheriff's Race gaining momentum, they probably want to "Put a little Scare in me!" 

I hate to tell you "BOYS" and I even use that term gingerly, cause I don't even think that you qualify as that, but you need to stop using the County's telephones to make these kinds of calls.  You see that all you did was PISS ME OFF! 

I would never forget a recent voice...  I worked for 30 years talking on.....  you guessed it "a telephone".  That was my livelihood, and I had to remember voices, because ("ask a telephone man")  when you talk on the telephone to your co-workers constantly you get to where you don't forget their voice, and those that you worked closely with, you will probably never forget.

I had conversations a lot with this so-called law enforcement officer quite frequently, so don't think for an instant that I would not remember an Investigators Voice.

This is not the first call I have had of this nature in recent weeks, (not from the same individual) but I decided that if you are going to "DO SOMETHING" to me that has to be so "VEILED" that I would just let everyone in the world know of your plans.

Guys, just to let you know, I placed a call to the telephone company and talked with someone who is going to take care of my problem for me.  You now, need to think about how it is going to look to the people of this county and the world if you decide to try to "make good" on your intentions.

Response to those people "offended" by Name Calling on this Website!

The old saying is "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words".  Well folks, I would like for you to take a look at one of your Candidates for Sheriff Mark Perkins.  I have called him a "slob" on this site.  Now I have a Picture of where all you women out there who are purchasing "Panty's" manufactured by Investigator Perkins are coming from.  They very clearly show the location of where those panty's you are wearing are so carefully and cleanly manufactured.  Do these pictures show that they are worth 1000 words?  Was I correct in my description of Investigator Perkins or not?

If it looks this bad on the outside where the public can see it, what do you think it looks like on the inside where they cannot.  I hope that you ladies washed those panty's in bleach and hot water before you wore them.................

I am writing this to All of the people of Red River County.  This is in response to Sheriff Terry Reeds article in the Clarksville Times dated 1/10/2008.

First, I would like to say to Terry Reed, that I don't believe that you narrowly defeated Mr. Abbott, and I never will.  There are still some discrepancies with the Electronic Voting Machines that I believe were utilized that got you those extra votes.  Why do I believe this?  Because you and your deputies were already down at the Sheriff's office before all the votes were counted celebrating.  That's right, I know about that also.  How did you know that you had defeated Mr. Abbott before all the votes were in and counted unless you had some "INSIDE" information that no one else knew about?  Think about it voters!

Next, I would like to remind Sheriff Reed about the "HEARTFELT" response that you sent this website.  You know what they say Sheriff, if you put something out on the Internet, it stays in Cyber Space Forever!  Take a look at this Sheriff and tell me that you have accomplished "ANYTHING" that you spoke about in this letter.  I don't think that you successfully did anything that you said you wanted.  We Should also Remember!  I gave you the opportunity to look into a lot of things that I responded back to you with that the citizens of this county deserved to have looked at and taken care of.  But, did you look at me as a "VOTER" or a legitimate "CITIZEN"?  The answer is "NO"!  You picked up your badge and ignored every word that was spoken to you.  That response I wrote to you was not just "ME", Sheriff.  It was every "VOTING CITIZEN" in this county!  What did you do about any of it Sheriff?  The answer is "NOTHING"!

You Sheriff, had your chance and you "BLEW" it.  The reason you blew it was you had a Chief Deputy who was and still is a "CRIMINAL".  You kept him on the payroll, and let him lead you down the "CRIMINAL" path.  That is not "MY" fault Sheriff Reed, it is yours.  You had a "GOLDEN" opportunity to "CLEAN UP" the "CORRUPTION" in Red River County, and "YOU" chose to turn a blind eye to everything.  I believed that you were a "PAWN" of the "MAGGOTS", only it is "YOUR OWN FAULT" that things turned out as they did.

When you are corrupt, as your department was and probably still is, you have people working for you.  Some of those people have something that you and the "MAGGOTS" in this county never will have.  Some of your Deputies, and Jailers, and Staff have something that "YOU" had at one time and chose by your own free will to give up.  Most "HUMAN BEINGS" cannot turn a blind eye to "CORRUPTION" but even though you "SAW IT WITH YOUR OWN TWO EYES", you chose to ignore it.  You chose to turn your back on the "HONEST" citizens of this county.  You looked away from the light of your own volition, and chose to walk into the darkness!  Those Deputies within your department right then, and some are still there are "HONEST", and some of your jailers are "HONEST", and some of your staff are "HONEST" and they still are.  They go about trying to do their jobs, but you and your administration and the "MAGGOTS" who were leading your department around by the nose kept them from doing their jobs "HONESTLY".  When you do that to an "HONEST" person sheriff, the pressure builds up inside them, and sooner or later cracks form, and they begin to "LONG" for "HONESTY".  But who could they turn to in your administration?  "NO ONE!!!!!"  Their main leader had turned to the "DARKNESS" and instead of helping them do their jobs for the "HONEST" citizens of this county like they wanted too, you "HINDERED" them from doing their jobs. 

Eventually, with all the cracks and pressure that built up, information started to come out.  You "TREATED" your employees with "DISRESPECT".  It is hard to keep up a lie when there are "HONEST" individuals involved, and they began to leak information to me, and this website.  You "HAD" and still "HAVE" some good people Sheriff Reed!  If you had just not turned away from the light to the darkness....  IF you had just let them do their jobs "HONESTLY".....  If you had not become one of the "CRIMINALS"......  IF...IF...IF... If only you had kept what those "HONEST" people in your department have, you could have been proud of your accomplishments.  You could have been someone that people looked up to and respected. 

You talked about the "SLANDEROUS Lies"!  The Unfounded Slander that has plagued your administration since the beginning.  Sheriff, If there was one thing on this website that you could have "Proved" was slander, you would have sued me.  I know that you tried.  You and your family talked to Lawyers, but they would not touch your case.  The facts are there to back up everything I have written on this site.  Every thing that has been said is a fact that is backed up with "DOCUMENTATION and the TRUTH", and no matter what you do or say, it will always be out there in "CYBER SPACE" that you, Sheriff Terry Reed and your Chief Deputy Larry Spangler are "LIARS", "CRIMINALS", and "THIEVES" and there is absolutely not one thing that you can do to disprove the facts!

Why is it like it is now Sheriff?  Why do you feel the way you do?  Why are you empty inside?  Because, those Deputies, Staff, and Jailers and this Webmaster and the voting public (those citizens you have let down) have something that you no longer have............. something that you have lost by turning to the dark side.  Something that will come back as the realization of your situation sinks in that will eat at your soul for the rest of your life. I sit here stunned as I look over the documents that I have poured over the last couple of night's wondering "What in the hell has our Texas legal system come too?"  I am awe struck that anything of this magnitude could happen involving one of the Candidates that is running for 6th District Judge, and the S.O.B. is still going to throw his hat into the arena knowing that this damning evidence could possibly surface.

This my loyal readers concerns the Candidate for 6th District Judge David Turner, that our illustrious sitting Judge Jim Dick Lovett, and all the "maggots" in Red River County are fawning over like a new born pure bred angus bull.

Some of the questions I have for Mr. David Turner are:  When this happened in Fannin County is it true that your Court Appointments fell to almost nothing?  Is it true that you called your buddy Judge Jim Dick Lovett, and he told you to come on over to Lamar County, and he would set you up with Court Appointments?  How many other clients have you "SCREWED" like this?  How many "QUESTIONABLE" plea bargains have slipped past on other appointments that the "Good Ole Boy" Judges during your time have just signed off on?  How many cases have you overcharged on and no one is there or paying attention, and the Judges have just signed off on the charges? How many dollars have you "SCREWED" the "TAXPAYERS" out of?  Doesn't it seem funny that Judge Jim Dick Lovett would retire, and all of a sudden decide to back you for his position?

Does everyone know that it is against Legal Ethics for a sitting Judge like Judge Jim Dick Lovett to openly back or campaign for a candidate to replace him?  That's OK Judge Lovett...  this is Lamar and Red River County.  It doesn't make a damn here! Just goes to show what kind of Judge you are when you won't hesitate to break the Legal Ethics of your Profession!

Factual Court Documentation (See the links at the bottom of this article) shows the ineffectiveness of counsel and questionable charges of Candidate David Turner on the Walsh plea bargain that was overturned. This is unheard of at any level in the judicial system.  A plea bargain is "NEVER" overturned.  If they were routinely overturned, Valerie Varley could get nothing done!

The Writ of Habeas Corpus on this plea was done by a "JAIL HOUSE LAWYER".  That's right readers, a "JAIL HOUSE LAWYER".  I have to say it again, because I cannot grasp it.  The man who wrote the writ that got this plea bargain overturned was a "JAIL HOUSE LAWYER" who is in prison for who knows what.

I was stunned when I read this appeal that went to the the District Court of Fannin County. The appeal was reviewed with the finding of facts, and then forwarded to the State Court of Appeals who ruled in January 2007 in favor of... you guessed it, the "Jail House Lawyer". Writs of habeas corpus are routinely handled by affidavit.  David Turner had an opportunity to write a response, but his inability to deal effectively in writing in Walsh, produced an order from the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals for an evidentiary hearing.  The evidentiary hearing was heard in the District Court of Fannin County the 336th Judicial District.

I know that all of you do not realize the fact that less than 1% of all appeals of this nature are heard, and practically 0% concerning a plea bargain would ever possibly be overturned... but this one was.  I have consulted with two different attorney's who read the documentation and stated that it is totally and almost completely unheard of for a court to find a "GOOD OLE BOY LAWYER" is ineffective counsel on a plea bargain, but it was ruled on appeal to the Court of Appeals, sent back to the District Court for hearing, and the plea bargain was overturned, and a new trial ordered by the State Court of Criminal Appeals.

I am also told that it is a well known fact in the judicial circles in this area that David Turner is considered to be a drunk, and that he routinely drinks heavily on a daily basis.

Lets get into the facts of this case...

There was a defendant by the name of Randall Gene WALSH, who was a bad guy, and there is no dispute of the fact, but somehow Lawyer Turner got appointed to the case.  No one can find a copy of the court appointment.  Lawyer Turner could not find the appointment, the District Attorney of Fannin County could not find the appointment, and the Court itself cannot, and none of them has to this date found the document appointing  David Turner to this case.  That fact in and of itself makes you wonder just how David Turner got involved.

Anyway, David Turner did get involved, and the court documentation shows from the hearing that he did absolutely nothing for the defendant, but plea him to a "MURDER" conviction that netted the defendant 35 years on a plea bargain arranged between David Turner, and the Fannin County District Attorney, and then David Turner billed the County 15 hours at $100.00/ hour.  At that time court appointments were being paid between 40 and 70 dollars per hour, but the Judge just signed off on it, really without looking. What is even worse David Turner charged 3 hours on April 16 talking to his Client, and his client had not even been captured yet or assigned an attorney!

Why was this plea on Murder overturned?  It was overturned because:

1. David Turner j.d. (doctor of jurisprudence) was found ineffective in his council while representing the defendant.

2. It was found that David Turner did not have credibility under oath.  Following Turner's testimony, the trial judge had to believe David Turner or the Defendant Walsh (a convicted felon).  The Judge believed the Defendant's (a convicted felon, and reasonably so) version of facts over David Turner (an officer of the court) on the issue of the advice Turner provided on Capital Punishment.  Do all of you realize how bad this is?

3. It was found that Lawyer Turner had "Questionable" Billing Practices to the State for Counsel.  Times, places and rates were found to be suspicious and best illustrated by "unfiled" pretrial motions.  One unfiled motion in Walsh was an application for Community Supervision (probation) from the jury when Walsh was not eligible for probation from a jury, because he had a prior felony conviction and could not swear to and sign the motion.

4. It was found that David Turner didn't understand or follow his obligation to represent his client.  The Judge believed Defendant Walsh's version of the facts over David Turner on the issue of the advice David Turner provided on Capital Punishment. This is also really bad!

The people of Red River County need to take notice of the fact that David Turner could not be effective council to a client on a plea bargain, that was overturned by a "Jail House Lawyer's" Writ of Habeas Corpus.  He was so ineffective that he could not even answer the plea by Affidavit to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.  Is this the kind of Judge the people want sitting on the bench?  Would you hire this man as your Lawyer?  If the answer is no, then you would definitely not want this man to be "Sitting in Judgment" if you were the defendant in a criminal or other type case?

We rely on our Judges and Lawyers to do the best possible job that they can for the defendant and the client.  Judges are a check and balance of the system, (a referee so to speak) and if the clients lawyer fails to do his job properly we hope that the Judge will do what is legally proper.  If the lawyer fails to do his job, and the Judge fails to do his job, and a (even though in this case the defendant was a bad person) innocent person is

Railroaded into prison on a false charge then the system has failed.  How many times has this happened in Red River County?  How many Innocent people have been sent to prison?  How many defendants have been charged with major crimes that should have been charged as lesser crimes?  Do we need another ineffectual Judge that Valerie Varley can lead around by the nose?  I hope you realize the grave significance of this occurrence involving Candidate for 6th District Judge, David Turner!!!!

There is another case that David Turner was found to be ineffective council, but that is another story! I will tell you that it has to do with a criminal sex offender of a child!

Another case (not Turner's originally) that was overturned on the 6th district court recently, was assigned to guess who, appointed as council to the defendant....  that's right "David Turner!"  What has our Legal System come too, when the judges know someone has been found ineffective council and they keep right on giving them Court Appointments, as Judge Lovett arraigned for David Turner in Lamar County?  Could being "appointed" as judicial council be as bad as being "appointed" to a position that should be "elected" by the people? Yes, only worse!  Makes you wonder if indigent people who are accused of crimes are getting our "TAX DOLLAR'S" worth with court "appointed" lawyers who have been ruled ineffective council in the past, and probably are still ineffective, yet Trial Judges keep "appointing" them as representative council!  How many are out there that are ineffective, but have yet to be discovered?

A direct warning to all of you reading this.  Beware the "Maggots" will probably try and use some sort of shenanigans to defend David Turner.  Judge Lovett and the other "Maggots" in Red River County want him in there so they can continue on with the Red River Just-Us Railroad.  What a more perfect "Maggot" to fill Judge Jim Dick Lovett's shoes.  Remember no matter what they say, this Plea Bargain was bad enough for the "Texas Court of Criminal Appeals" to overturn it.  Remember this Plea being Overturned by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals had nothing to do with anything else they might try and tell you! The court documents prove it!

If you would vote for this man for 6th District Judge after reading this, and seeing the documentation... you either are a "MORON", or a "MAGGOT"! Those two words seem to fit right in with "appointed" don't they!

You know that the complete Justice System in Red River County is Corrupt.  It's been proven over and over, again and again right here on this website!

Is the Democratic Party in Red River County being Chaired by a Republican?

After talking with a couple of the Democratic Candidates running for office in Red River County I think that we need to take a close look at our Democratic Chairperson Mrs. Patty Barton, and what she is doing as she leads the Democratic party in this County.

A Meet the Candidates, Fundraiser / Forum was held on January 5, 2008.  There were problems to say the least with the notification to a couple of the Candidates, and it seemed like it depended on who you were, and whether the Democratic Party in Red River County actually wanted you there or not.  There were 2 different letters sent out.  One listed the time from 4 to 6 p.m. and the other from 6 to 8 p.m.   It seems that in the mix-up that one of the Candidates got the letter that said 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 of the Candidates got no notice at all.  The Candidate for Sheriff Royce Abbott got a letter stating the forum was

going to be held from 6 to 8 p.m.  One of the Democratic Candidates for 6^th District Judge, David Hamilton was not even notified of the event.   Mrs. Barton was well aware of Hamilton’s party affiliation, and the fact that he has a website that lists all the information to contact his campaign.  It is Mrs. Barton’s responsibility to know all the candidates and make sure that she contacts all of them correctly as the Democratic Chairperson.  Right, Patty?

It really makes you wonder since Mrs. Barton was passing out NICKERSON campaign literature at the Red River County Fair.  A party chair should not be campaigning for one candidate above any of the others.  You don’t see the National Democratic Chairperson backing any of the Candidates in the Democratic Race for the Presidency.  It is probably because he knows that he would lose a considerable portion of his ass and his job if he did.  Think about it Patty….  don’t you smell the stench of something being wrong supporting one Democratic Candidate over another Democratic Candidate for the same office?

Hell, there is so much corruption and wrong doing in Red River County, that her smeller is probably burned out.  I would say use common sense, but it seems that Red River County Democratic Politics falls considerably short on that also! 

What really puzzles me is that Mrs. Barton (remember now, she is the Democratic Chair in this County) actually called and personally extended an invitation to the Republican Candidate for 6^th District Judge, E. Clifford.  What really takes the “Cake” in this little Democratic fundraiser / shindig of  Barton’s  is that  after the 3 Democratic Candidates for Judge give their speeches, the Republican Candidate for Judge was permitted to address the Democratic Party as a Candidate by Mrs. Barton.  He did not donate any money to the cause either, but Democratic Chairperson Barton allowed him to address the crowd.  Mrs. Barton, “Just what affiliation are you, a Democratic or a Republican."  If you are the former, you need to learn more than a slight bit of protocol, and if you are the latter, what the hell are you doing running the Democratic Party in this County.

It seems to me that if you have the time to stop and call a Republican Candidate and invite him to a Democratic Forum / Fundraiser that you would at least have the courtesy, and make very positive that you  contacted your own party’s candidates first.  When it gets right down to it, a Republican Candidate should not even be allowed into a Democratic Fundraiser/ Forum, and would probably have been asked to leave if it was anywhere but Red River County.  But here, our Democratic Chairperson invites the Republican Opponent into the Democratic camp with outstretched open arms.  Mrs. Barton, I ask again are you a Democrat or are you Republican, or is it possibly a Republican Party with Democratic Clothing on?

There were some also very notable deficiencies in the attendance of this forum.  It seems that there were no representatives from the Press.  Patty, if you want to inform the public, and show off your candidates you have to invite the people who are involved in that business.  Since you do not know, or did not bother to check,  no one from the Newspapers, Radio Stations, TV stations, or Web Journalist were invited or attended.  It seems more than a little slight on your part that the most important people of all to spotlight the Democratic Party (and free of charge I might add) were excluded from your little shindig.  Oh, I did forget to mention that 1 journalist showed up at 6 p.m. but was informed at the door that it was already over.  She must have sent him the we don’t want you there so don’t show up wrong time notice rather than the we welcome you as a Democratic Candidate / press person so please show up correct time notice!

I realize that I have said this more than once already, but it is so important that I ask it again. Just what is the affiliation of our Democratic Chairperson? Is she a Democratic, or is she a Republican?   

I was told that it was conveniently printed in the Clarksville Times both ways with both times, so the “ERROR, ERROR / WARNING WARNING” would not be so evident.  Sorry Patty, but  THAT KIND OF POLITICS STANDS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB!  Yes, I was yelling that, because it seems to have the stench of “MAGGOT Breath” to me.

Another deficiency in attendance were officials from the City of Clarksville Government.  None of these officials were in attendance.  I guess maybe she excluded them because they were all Republicans. 

The most important omission of all is the minority community.  None were in attendance, and I seriously doubt were invited, although one African American Lady entered, but after talking with 1 or 2 people abruptly exited.  It seems to me that the Democratic Party, which holds itself out as the Party of Inclusion and the Party of Opportunity would have made sure that all of the minority communities were included, and welcomed with open arms. Where's the cultural diversity Patty?  Isn't their money the same color as everyone else’s Patty? Does it not spend the same, and don't the minority cultures have the right to representation in the Democratic Party? Well, how bout it Patty?

Excuse Me….  I forgot that this is Red River County which is 100 or so years behind in the mindset of integration. After all there is still a notable glorified hanging tree inside the city limits.   I for the life of me don’t understand why it is still there, cause it is an ugly knurled tree.  If it were a beautiful 100 yr. old oak, I might understand but this tree looks like it has suffered dearly from all the lives it has taken. (and in this county innocent ones probably at that)

Most of the Candidates and their wives like the Varley’s,  Shimpock’s , Mark Perkins, Robert Bridges, and even the officials like Hausler who is not running, all seemed to have their invitations and were notified correctly.  It is also amazing that David Turner, another Candidate for 6^th District Judge surely was included in the Elite group who definitely had correct invitations to this shindig. He was there helping to prepare the food, before anyone else got there  with his truck parked right next to the front door, with the Campaign sign in the back.

Why the mix-up to the other Candidates Mrs. Barton?  Is this Red River County “Maggot” Politics in Action Mrs. Barton, operating under the guise of the Democratic Party Banner?  Bet your not thinking of closing down the outlying precinct voting locations if there is a runoff this time either......  are you Patty?

I am sure there are a few of you out there that are wondering and want to know how the website voting concluded.

At first the vote was very confusing. A lot of people were voting both ways.

Some of you would vote YES to keep the site open every time you entered, but every once in a while a NO to close the site, but then would vote yes to keep it open nearly every time.  I finally decided that those people were just clicking the No to see the picture of the "Maggots". They had to look back at them every once in a while to realize that "Maggots" are really gross and despicable. 

There was also a few people who started out by voting NO several times in a row, and then later would vote YES nearly every time, but every once in a while would vote NO again.  I realized that those were the people who wanted to close the site at first, but after looking at true "Maggots" decided that they liked the site and wanted it to stay open. I believe that after looking at true "Maggots" that they finally realized how gross and despicable they are when found running the County Government.  

Then I had the people who voted YES all the time, and I knew that they were really supporting the site, and wanted it to stay open.  They couldn't stand to even look at the "Maggots" just once, although I hate to say that there were very very few of them.  These are the people that really hate the way our Government is being run, and realize that "Maggots" have absolutely no place running the Sheriff's Office, Justice System, and Government!  These people want the place cleaned up, and they know it without a doubt!

Then there were the people who voted NO, and never did vote yes.  Those people are lost forever to the dark side, and voted to close the site, because they could not turn from their "Maggot" ways.  They don't care about anyone but themselves and their "good ole boy Maggot" buddies. These few may have slipped to another computer and voted yes to read the site, but deep down really want it closed!

At first, I could not decide how to count the votes, with all the no sometimes and then yes, and yes sometimes and then no, and some yes all the time, and those scary no all the time.  Then I decided just to count them just like they came in because that is the true way people feel even if they wanted to waiver back and forth between yes and no.

So in the end, that is what I did, I counted all of them.  The final vote was 10 to 1 in favor of keeping the site open.  So folks, the site stays open if you had not already noticed the new additions and face lift.

If I am correct in counting them all, the vote is saying that people are tired of the "Maggots" and they really and truly want to make a change in Red River County Government and Justice so that we will all have a better place to live.  It tells me people inherently are good, but you have to show them proof of the bad to get them to change.  Maybe I am wrong in counting them the way I did, only time, and elections will tell!

Now, I Wish that we could find some "Honest" candidates to run against the "Maggots" who have no opponents.  Maybe we will get lucky yet, because there is still a little time left. 
"Honest" candidates could always run as an Independent, which would give them till sometime in May, I think, to announce to get onto the ballot for the November general election. This is due to Independents not having to run in the Primaries in March like the Democrats and Republicans.

Good luck to everyone, except the true dirty "NO" voting "Maggots".  I guess there will always be a few of the filthy little buggers around to torment us!

Merry Christmas to All the Good People of Red River County!

Another Christmas has come, and is almost gone.  It just seems like it was yesterday that it was last Christmas.  I hope that everyone got what they wanted, but most of all I hope that everyone enjoyed being with their Families and Friends.  My day has been uneventful, and it has been nice to say the least.  I have had a good year in my Computer Business and have purchased things over the entire year that made every month a little Christmassy, so when it gets right down to it, I have had a wonderfully beneficial and quiet  Christmas, and year.  I got just what I wanted, and have thoroughly enjoyed keeping all of you informed through the site.

I heard from someone today that moved on from the Sheriff's Department, and he tells me that it is the difference between night and day working in a truly real law enforcement agency, which makes me happy for him and his family.  Seeing my friends and family receive  things that make them happy is what this season is all about, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the day.  I hope all of you have enjoyed your Christmas to the fullest also. 

Now, the countdown begins to the New Year 2008, and hopefully bigger and better changes in the RR County Government.

It was this awareness, of God's sacrifice for my personal salvation, that The Star was created and published.  As He gave His all to bring us truth and hope through His message,  we know that  not all will accept. 

Tonight a woman lies dieing in the hospital, and she refused to even hear the Word that God loves her, and that He gave His life for her; that should she die there will be a life far better than she has ever known.  How sad that she doesn't want to even hear about God.  If she  had she already accepted His love she would have known a peace and joy through her day to day trials.

I thank God for His Love, grace, and mercy.  My heart will always love those that the Lord has brought into my life.  I regret having seen some turn away from Him because of being blinded by fear and not putting Him first in their life.  My Christmas prayer is that each of us find a love for the truth. Hold tight to  God's truth, and know that the baby that was born on Christmas day is still today the Truth and Light of the World.  He is our only hope. 

May your heart know the love that only God gives, and may you find the peace and joy  that comes from knowing him.

Now is the time that we should all stop and give thanks for our true Salvation.

What is the true meaning of Christmas?  Do any of us really understand the sacrifice that our one true God gave to us at this time.  He knowingly gave us his son.  He knowingly gave us our salvation.  He knowingly gave us a piece of himself to die for all our sins in a horrible, yet meaningful way.  Do any of us really stop at this time of year and ponder just what it all means?  We go about in our hustle and bustle of daily life and seldom stop and think about the sacrifice that our God made to us at this time of year. 

We do not stop and realize that our true God thought about us enough to sacrifice a piece of himself to save us all from our sins.  His Gift.

It is a time of sacrifice for our God, and a time of rebirth for us.  God looked down upon this earth and decided that we needed a sacrifice.  He had been for millennium receiving sacrifices from us to him, and he thought that he needed to give back to us.

We all are redeemed by  our God at this time of year, and we seldom stop and think about him.  He knowingly gave us his son.  He knowingly gave us salvation and light during this one true spiritual holiday season, and yet we do not stop more than an instant and think about the sacrifice that he gave to us.

I awoke at three this morning, and could no longer sleep.  I had this word running through my head.  It is concerning that there are those who just do not understand, and do not “see” why or how someone could be so angry as to their seeing the truth.  Knowing the gross injustice that is real and seeing it continue.   If man can be so angry, how do you think God views these things?  For the crimes and sins of the people are not against man, but against God and His word.   For any man to find a love for truth, your life changes.  How it is that one man can see what another man will not.  Basically, it is because every man has a choice.   Can a righteous man live with seeing injustice?  Lot did.  But for a man who is searching to be righteous, (believing in GOD) finds a day in his life that he can no longer accept the injustice before his eyes.  It will make him want to weep, throw up, and for some it makes them angry.  There is no sin in being angry.  We are no longer living in the garden, the knowledge of good and evil is ever present and before our eyes we know truth in all its wonder and all its ugliness.

When I moved out of Red River County, I stated that I understood how Lot and his wife lived in Sodom next to Gomorrah.  Sodom was a place where there was wealth with those who ran their town, and yet they could not save it.  For the truth is that there could not be found one righteous man in the region, except for Lot.   He tried to barter with God for grace to be given to the Cities; if just ten could be found.  We know that the cities were destroyed; we understand that there were not ten righteous men to be found.   How was it that Lot  a righteous man, escaped the destruction of his city, only to loose everything he possessed?    Taking a closer look, God gave him a chance to go in an other direction, he lived on the outside of town originally, only to move into the City later, but Lot did well as long as he did not "rock the boat”.  His family continued to live in the prosperity of their city.  How does this parallel to where you live?  The men that came to Lot were blinded, as to not touching that which God had sent.  The angels were there to give the message to Lot and his family that it was time to leave.  How long have the men in Red River County been blind to the destruction that has come to their city and family because they do not rock the boat, they do not see how they can or should fight against something that has overtaken their home, city, and county?  How did Lot live in and among Sodom and Gomorrah?  He benefited from all the wealth of those who had control of the cities.  He lived quietly, under the radar, we didn’t hear of him going to Rome for help, starting up a group to fight injustice, he was not the local sheriff who fought crime.  Who was Lot, he ended up with position in Sodom. He lived off the people who were going to die and he did nothing but his job, and feared God. 

God had not failed to give Lot ample warning concerning the future.  The very fact that Lott had been taken captive after the defeat of the five kinds was God’s warning to him that Sodom was not a place in which to dwell any longer.  It is quite possible that God may be warning us when there is sickness, or a problem in our families.  Or when a business failure happens to us.  Unfortunately like Lot in his day, many of us today are not sensitive.  Although we become sick, have problems at home or suffer financial disaster we seem unaware that these may be God’s actions calling us to change our directions. 

God will discipline us if we insist on remaining in the same direction we may be headed, and if we suffer such losses we should inquire of God as to whether these things happened because we have taken a wrong turn.  Often times when God’s love cannot direct our paths we will be chastised.  If His word fails to move us, He will use suffering to press us back to Himself.  He is not willing to let us go without making such efforts to bring us back.  Lot escaped with his life but lost his wife and was later in incest with his daughters.   Lot was a righteous man who made the wrong choices.  This is something for all of us to think about today.  I hope you do.  For tomorrow is not promised to any man.   God be your guide.

I would like to tell anyone who reads this website and thinks that this is not a credible site because of the tenor of the cartoons, language, etc., that they need to go back to the archives and read forward.  This website was created because there is a small group of people, families, or whatever you want to call them that have taken over and have a stranglehold on Red River County Governments.  These individuals have worked the governmental system for years, and have used it against the poor and indigent people, and even some of the more affluent people to gain power for themselves and their friends so they could do whatever they wanted, and they do.  People here basically became used to the fact that there was nothing they could do, and just let the government get so corrupt that now, if you are not from here you will think that the sane, honest people are just radical.  This site looks radical to an outsider we admit that, but we are not insane or crazy or any of the other things that those in governmental control will tell someone that is not from here to cover their criminal activity.  Before you condemn us as radical, insane, or just rude, talk to some honest citizens that are not part of the criminal governments we have here.  Talk to honest citizens from outside here that know this county from the inside, especially those people who have relatives here.  I will promise you that I am not radical, insane, or rude.  I will tell you that the only way I have found that really gets people's attention in the government here is to act that way.  I promise that if you are honest, and truly care about people and their plight, that when you talk to me I am as sane, credible, and human as you!

If you thought this website was biased it is, but .........

it is a shame when a candidate pays good money in advance to run sequential ads and the ad is run right the first time  (which was run substantially before the event), but then when it is time for the sequential ad to be run, the paid publication conveniently leaves the location of the event off the ad. That tells you the publication is of poor quality.   All publications use computers, and they cut and paste what they are doing, (especially graphic advertising)  so it is damn near impossible to mess up if it was right the first time (and it was).   I will say that a publication that accidentally leaves anything out of a paid political ad that hurts a candidates planned event is not even close to outhouse quality, cause the paper is so cheap that your finger will slip through into your business while you are trying to use it.  That my friends is a sorry quality paper, and I would definitely not purchase it for use in my outhouse. 

I will offer limited Free Space and links to any Candidate running for position in this county that wishes to run an ad, if they provide me with a printed scanable copy of the complete ad, or a ready to post jpeg ad.  It can be in color if you wish.  We can even talk about free video space of nominal size if they wish to run a video ad with sound, that is already recorded and ready to post.  All candidates are welcome and everyone will be treated equally.  I don't know how many will really accept, but it will beat having portions of your ad missing or not printed at all.  I will put a link section at the top of this page that will remain there throughout the election, and link to separate blank pages on this site for each individual candidate who wishes to run an ad.  Contact rrpolitics@bowie-cass.com if you are interested, and if you are not it's no sweat off this website.  I can understand passing up 5 to 8 thousand visitors a month, and free advertising.  Not a problem here!
