5/23/06 I want everyone to know that I have made several open records request to Lorie Moose in the last week and will probably make several more this week. She has filled all of them in a timely fashion. I want to commend her office for doing this!!!
What is Happening with the Election and Your Tax Dollars?
Open Records Request Received. Validity of Election in question!!!
Open Records Request turned into Lorie Moose 4/21/2006 These forms concern the ballots, and are very important. We are "dead" serious about getting all of these completed forms from every precinct box. If they fail, or refuse to produce the "Register of Official Ballots", there could be definite "Election Fraud" involved in this election, because the number of ballots printed and used cannot be verified, which is a "HUGE PROBLEM" for this election. All ballots have a serial number, and the serial numbers in each precinct box should match within the serial number sequence on the top of the page. All ballots must be accounted for by law, included are the voted ballots, the spoiled ballots, misprinted ballots, and unused ballots. This is a part of the mathematical proof of this election.
E-Mail Opinion from Citizen You are so right!! How many people do we have in this county that are afraid to say what is on their mind because they fear retaliation from the ones "in power"? As far as the election goes, this recount is just a required step. "It isn't over till it's over." EH
Read about How a Polling Place is Supposed to be Run!!! This is the Official Handbook Issued by the Secretary of State on procedures on "Qualifying Voters on Election Day" Handbook for Election Judges and Clerks 2006-2007. If you notice the ex. [Sec 62.004(3) this is the Law stated in the Texas Election Code.

Election, What Election, We could have probably posted the results without even voting!! And the State of Texas could give a damn, cause it's been going on here for a hundred years!!!!

County Clerk's Response to Open Records Request Thank you Lorie, for responding so quickly. It would be nice if all our elected officials responded that fast.

4/13/2006 I received a call from
someone that I trust, and was told that whoever called me about the document
below was mistaken. I appreciate the call, and had a feeling that this
was something that had nothing to it. Thanks for Calling and letting
us know 4/12/2006 I just received a telephone call about the voting location at the Avery Housing Authority. I was told that there was a document lying on the table that possibly made the statement that if you did not vote in the Democratic Primary Election, that you could not vote in this Run-Off. I am sure that this was read wrong, but would appreciate any comments from Lorie what this Document was, and exactly what it said. It would be good if you would e-mail me, and I will post what you have to say on the subject, so the people will know. Was it something that one of the polling officials put out, or was it a document that was totally miss-read. If you were a voter, and saw this document, please e-mail mailto:rrpolitics@bowie-cass.org . Thank You! I also received a phone call about one of the Clarksville boxes that the caller stated that she went into the poll at a particular count of people who had voted, and while there voting no one came in and when this person left it showed a much higher number. This person signed in at a certain number and just has questions about an all of a sudden increase with no voters present. 29 votes is not much...just a hair, and what was in locations that could have affected the election outcome. Remember "Anything and Everything". It is that the eleven hundred and sixty two people who voted who are rumbling, and some are rumbling loudly. My phone has been fairly busy today with these questions. I PERSONALLY DO NOT FIND FAULT IN THE COUNTY CLERKS OFFICE, AND I WANT HER TO UNDERSTAND THAT. It is the polling locations that people are beginning to question, and possible misinformation that was circulated about who could and who could not vote, except it is too late for that in some instances. If you received misinformation at the polling location and did not vote contact rrpolitics@bowie-cass.com I checked with the Secretary of States office, and the Ethics Commission, and both have said that as long as you did not vote in the Republican Primary, that you could vote in this runoff. I even think that I read that somewhere in the C Times, if I am not mistaken. Although people have a tendency to skim the Times rather than truly reading it. Voters need to get educated, and if they have questions, need to ask them before...rather than after an Election. Misinformation has cost many a race, and voters being apathetic (lazy) about getting out to vote has done it more. |
E-Mail Opinion from Janice Patterson I am waiting for Mr. Abbott to make up his mind about this, and then we will go about getting it done. This is his decision to make because a recount will cost him money. I have heard of some discrepancies in the polling places, and it should probably be looked into, but Royce's decision will be the final one, but that doesn't mean that we should not give our opinion as to what should be done.

E-Mail Opinion from Brandy Smith In a way, we did win because by a narrow margin within a hair of 50%, the people of this county told Terry Reed and the "Good Ole Boy" law enforcement system that they are fed up, and want a change. Even better 1,162 people sent a clear message that they did not want him in office. If he doesn't hear that 50% speaking, then he is a fool. |
